  • Delhi & Dehradun Spenders: Two heavy users collectively spent more than ₹20 lakhs on everyday essentials such as atta, milk, and oil.
  • Nationwide Must-Haves: Top items in shopping carts across the country included milk, curd, dosa batter, chips, and soft drinks.
  • Milk’s Popularity: One in every 15 orders featured milk, while one in five orders included fruits or vegetables.

Unique Splurges and High-End Buys

  • Pet Care Spending: A Mumbai customer spent over ₹15 lakh on pet supplies, mostly dog and cat food.
  • Tech Purchases: A Chennai user spent ₹1,25,454 on gadgets, including gaming earphones and a hair straightener.
  • Mango Mania: A Hyderabad resident spent ₹35,000 on mangoes in May.
  • Gold Coin Record: An Ahmedabad shopper spent ₹8,32,032 on gold coins during Dhanteras.
  • Poker Chips Party: ₹4,60,000 worth of poker chips were bought in Delhi during Diwali.
  • Tonic Water Craze: Mumbai saw a single-day purchase worth ₹8,20,360 of tonic water, while a Goa user spent ₹35,000 on it throughout the year.

Festive Favorites and Late-Night Cravings

  • Diwali Essentials: Over ₹45 lakh was spent on brooms during Dhanteras for Diwali cleaning.
  • Raksha Bandhan Orders: Around 8 lakh rakhis were delivered, with one Mumbai user ordering 31 rakhis in a single purchase.
  • Valentine’s Day Rush: On Feb. 14, roses were a bestseller, averaging 307 orders per minute.
  • Late-Night Snacks: Between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m., chips, ice cream, and cold drinks dominated orders. Sanitary pads saw peak demand during 8-9 p.m.

City-Specific Trends

  • Bengaluru: The city led purchases of puja essentials, party supplies, and wellness products.
  • Mumbai: Known for buying the most umbrellas and raincoats, the city also purchased 4,500 kg of onions in just one hour on Dec. 1.
  • Hyderabad: The snack capital of India, with ₹60 crores spent on instant noodles. The city also favored the eco-conscious “Deliver Without Bag” option.
  • Vizag: A user spent ₹27,742 exclusively on toys, proving that quick commerce caters to all needs.
